TRAINER BACKGROUND
Catherine-Ann Milford
In 1994, I graduated with a Food Degree from Sheffield Hallam University.
In 1995, I worked for a training company, selling business solutions to the top 1,000 businesses/ organisations in the United Kingdom. Customer Care solutions, Sales Development training and Business Presentation skills were paramount.
From 1995-2001, I worked in the Food Industry as a Development Chef for McVities Prepared Foods, Product Development Manager for Allied Bakeries and Business Manager for Greggs Plc. During this time, I conceived, developed and launched approximately 50 new products onto the shelves for the top 5 Supermarkets. Furthermore, I managed a small factory in central London preparing high risk food items for Marks & Spencers.
Since training as a Teacher in 2001 of Food Technology to 13-19 year olds, I have taught in London and on the Isle of Wight. My teaching and learning skills have been rewarded with the prestigious “Outstanding Newcomer to Design and Technology” award. Recently I worked closely with one of the Island’s High Schools and their study support provision during out of school hours. This resulted in the School gaining the “Advanced Study Support Status”, only 1 out of 9 schools in the whole of the UK.
I describe myself as focused, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and approachable. Indeed, I know that my experience and skills enable me to be THE Food and Training Specialist.
